In December 1984 Radio Monique started broadcasting from the radio ship ‘Ross Revenge’. During the day they rented broadcasting time from Radio Caroline. The elegant ship was then moored in the Thames Estuary. In November 1987 the broadcasts from sea came to an end. In 2020, a number of former employees ensured the station’s return, this time from land with a 100-watt transmitter on AM 918 KHz.
However, they are currently off the air there. The intention is to get back on the air in June 2022 with a new and better antenna system.
In the meantime, they can be heard on DAB+: 8B (Midden Noord Holland), 6A (Alkmaar & surroundings). The station can also be listened to via the internet since 2021: https://radiomonique.am/.
